Sadia Chinese-style Chicken Stir-fry
Diced chicken with peppers, onion and peanuts in a glossy soy sauce.
- Estimated time: 35 min
- Servings: 4
Ingredients
- 600 g boneless Sadia chicken breast, cut into 2 cm cubes
- 20 ml oil
- 150 g diced onion
- 200 g diced red and green peppers
- 2 chopped garlic cloves
- 45 ml soy sauce
- 15 ml rice vinegar
- 100 ml water
- 10 g cornflour
- 40 g unsalted roasted peanuts
- Black pepper to taste
Preparation
- Prepare the vegetables and chicken with separate utensils. Mix the soy sauce, vinegar, water and cornflour in a bowl.
- Heat half the oil in a large frying pan. Brown the chicken in two batches for about 6–8 minutes per batch, until its centre reaches at least 74 °C. Transfer to a clean plate.
- Add the remaining oil to the pan. Stir-fry the onion and peppers for 3–4 minutes, keeping them slightly crisp. Add the garlic and stir for 30 seconds.
- Return the chicken to the pan. Stir the sauce again, pour it in and cook for 2–3 minutes, stirring, until bubbling and thickened.
- Add the peanuts and pepper. Taste before adding salt because the soy sauce is salty. Serve hot.
